|
|
|
With the recent trends in exercise, Americans are placing more
emphasis on physical activity than ever before. As a result, Americans
are also placing more stress on their backs than ever before. That is
why Spring Air has created a mattress designed specifically for
on-the-go individuals like you who demand superior comfort and support
for your back. |
|
|
| And for those interested in the premium Back
Supporter models, we offer the exclusive Total Balance™ Dual Gauge
Coil System for enhanced lumbar support. |
There
are too many places in our lives where can cut corners. Selecting a
mattress on which you will spend six to eight hours of virtually every day
of your life is not one of those places. Therefore, we do not and will
not sell our customers a “cheap” mattress which will be detrimental to
their health. We offer eleven supreme quality innerspring mattress sets
to insure that you will have no problem finding one that matches your
comfort requirements and queen sets are priced as low as $399.
How To Buy A Mattress
Too many people make selecting a new mattress way
too complicated. Construction, although important, is not the most
important thing. Does it really matter how many coils a mattress has if
it is not comfortable? No. Comfort is the most important thing one needs
to consider when mattress shopping. Leave your inhibitions at home. Wear
something comfortable so you can lie down and roll around on every
mattress in the store. Simply use the process of elimination. Pick any
two mattresses and compare them. When you decide between those two which
one you like, compare that one to another. Keep comparing one mattress to
another until you have eliminated all but one. It’s no harder than that.
Mattress Construction
The following information is adapted from The Better Sleep
Guide, a free brochure from the Better Sleep Council's "Consumer
Information Series." A mattress is made of three basic elements:
- The foundation acts as a giant shock absorber,
taking the normal wear and tear of nightly use. Foundations also lend
added support, durability and, in the case of adjustable beds,
flexibility. The mattress core construction varies with the type of
mattress. Whether the mattress is made of springs, air, foam, or water,
this middle "core" provides support for the sleeper.
- The upholstery layers wrapped around the core
provide surface comfort. A variety of foams and fibers are used to
improve cushioning properties and enhance the support of the mattress
core.
Sleep Set
Advances
Because of technological advances and medical developments, today's
mattress sets are not the same as those made 10 years ago. Industry
research and development has improved mattress and foundation engineering
to provide optimum comfort and support. A new sleep set that incorporates
these advances can lead to a better night's sleep. Now that you are aware
of the ins and outs of the sleep set of your dreams, it's time now to know
the six shopping musts for a mattress. The following information is
adapted from The Better Sleep Guide, a free brochure from the Better Sleep
Council's "Consumer Information Series."
- Support. A quality mattress and foundation
will gently support your body at all points and keep your spine in the
same body position as good standing posture. When selecting a mattress,
keep in mind that your body should be able to relax, with your spine
supported in its natural curve. Otherwise, your muscles work all night
and you'll wake up stiff and sore.
- Comfort. Mattresses don't have to
be as hard as a board to be good for you, though some people may prefer
a firmer feel. Today's mattresses are built with luxurious new
cushioning materials and surface treatments, creating a feel that is
more plush.
- Durability and Warranty.
Durability refers to how long support and comfort will last. Like all
products, mattresses and foundations gradually wear out. That's why you
should reevaluate your sleep set annually. The warranty protects you
against product defects and workmanship mistakes, not gradual loss of
comfort and support.
- Space. Select a new mattress that
gives you enough room for easy, free movement, especially if you're
sleeping with a partner. Couples should select a queen- or king-size
mattress to ensure that both people have enough space.
- Matching Sleep Sets. Matching
mattresses and foundations are designed to work together. Mismatching
sets, putting a new mattress on an old foundation or adding a board
between the mattress and foundation can impede comfort and reduce the
life of the mattress.
- Value. Buy quality products made with all
new materials. Shopping for the best value, not the lowest price, is
often a smart way to shop.

Dos
& Don'ts

warranty home |
|
DO... |
|
DON'T... |
-
DO
rotate your mattress occasionally to help maintain and
prolong the quality/comfort of your mattress. Body
impressions are caused by upholstery material
compressions and are normal characteristics of premium
bedding. Such body impressions indicate that the
upholstery layers in your mattress are conforming to
your individual body shape. Body impressions up to
1-1/2" are not considered to be a structural defect.
-
DO
replace your old foundation when you purchase your new
mattress to help provide the proper support of your
new mattress.
-
DO
use a quality bed frame to support your mattress and
foundation. If you have a Queen- or King-size bed,
your bed frame must have a center support that extends
to the ground in order to obtain warranty protection.
-
DO
use a mattress pad to help preserve the surface
quality of your mattress, especially if children use
the bed.
|
-
DO NOT smoke
in bed or expose your mattress to an open flame. While
this mattress is manufactured, as required by federal
law, to resist ignition from a lighted cigarette, it
is not flame or fireproof.
-
DO NOT attempt
to rotate the mattress by yourself. To avoid damage to
the mattress or the risk of personal injury, have
someone help you rotate your mattress.
-
DO NOT fold,
bend, or stand on your mattress.
-
DO NOT remove
the law tag label attached to the end of your
mattress. This tag helps identify and establish your
warranty rights.
-
DO NOT use
dry-cleaning-type fluid of any kind on your mattress.
Such chemicals will damage components of your
mattress.
-
DO NOT place
a board in between your mattress and foundation since
this negates the effect/purpose of your foundation.
-
DO NOT allow
the mattress or foundation to get soiled or in
unsanitary condition. This will void the warranty.
